During the meeting with the Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group held at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the priority areas of the cooperation, the inclusive approaches in the global financial system, as well as the issues related to the organization of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Baku were discussed. 

Within the framework of the Arab Coordination Group High-Level Roundtable held in Baku, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, the Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group.
During the meeting, the parties highlighted the significance of expanding the economic cooperation with the IsDB, as well as the projects implemented in energy, infrastructure, urban planning, agriculture, water supply and other areas. 

The issues related to the organization of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Baku were discussed at the meeting. It was noted that the holding of these events in Baku would contribute to expanding the partnership with Islamic financial institutions, as well as promoting Azerbaijan’s investment potential on a regional and an international scale. 

The parties also exchanged views on the priority directions of the collaboration, the inclusive approaches in the global financial system and issues of mutual interest.
