Prospects for developing economic and investment cooperation with China, projects of mutual interest, and partnership opportunities within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative were discussed.

Within the framework of the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, held in Baku under the patronage of H.E. President Ilham Aliyev, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov met with Deng Jinghua, Managing Director of the Silk Road Fund.

The meeting addressed the development prospects of economic and investment cooperation between Azerbaijan and China, projects of mutual interest, and partnership opportunities under the “Belt and Road” initiative.

It was emphasized that cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Silk Road Fund strengthens the country’s status as a reliable partner on international financial platforms. Projects implemented within this cooperation provide important support to the diversification of Azerbaijan’s economy, the development of strategic infrastructure, and the attraction of global investment flows, while also enabling Azerbaijan’s more active participation in regional and global economic initiatives.

The parties exchanged views on strengthening future cooperation and implementing new investment initiatives.
