Discussions focused on expanding economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Qatar, promoting mutual investments, and exploring partnership opportunities in the development of strategic sectors.

Within the framework of the 1st Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, held in Baku under the patronage of H.E. President Ilham Aliyev, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov met with Nasser Al-Attiyah, Director of Corporate Credit at the Qatar Investment Authority.

During the meeting, information was provided on Azerbaijan’s economic reforms, favorable business environment, and investment opportunities. It was emphasized that the Government of Azerbaijan attaches special importance to cooperation with foreign investors.

The sides discussed expanding economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Qatar, promoting mutual investments, and exploring partnership opportunities in the development of strategic sectors. Particular attention was given to potential joint projects in infrastructure, financial services, energy, and the non-oil sector.

The parties underlined that deepening mutual cooperation would serve the economic interests of both countries.
