At the meeting with the EY Global Vice Chair for Sustainability, discussions were held on energy transition, the priority directions of cooperation and the transition to sustainable and green economy.

As part of COP29, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has held a meeting with Amy Brachio, the Global Vice Chair for Sustainability at the UK-based company EY.

The meeting focused on the state of the innovation ecosystem in our country and the modern challenges. The works carried out for transitioning to the sustainable and green economy and achieving the sustainable development goals were reviewed. Opportunities for implementing green projects, adopting clean technologies, and promoting investments aligned with climate action targets were highlighted. The importance of business strategies that serve the SDGs, promoting investments that support environmental sustainability, and fostering public-private partnerships was emphasized.

The parties exchanged views on the sustainable economic growth in Azerbaijan, the development of human capital, the enhancement of "green" skills, energy transition strategies, and the priority areas of cooperation.
