Meeting held with Slovakia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Denisa Sakova
Prospects for developing the economic cooperation with Slovakia were discussed at the meeting held at the Ministry of Economy.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with Denisa Saková, Slovakia’s Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy.
It was underscored at the meeting that the bilateral relations between the countries are expanding. It was noted that the mutual visits, the events and meetings held, the discussions held play a crucial role in enhancing the Azerbaijani – Slovakian cooperation. The parties noted that there are broad opportunities for efficient collaboration with Slovakia in the trade, energy, investments, industry, humanitarian and other fields. It was highlighted that the regional and global energy projects initiated by Azerbaijan contribute to the energy security of the partner countries. In this regard, the energy cooperation is among the priorities of the relations with Slovakia.
The parties discussed the current state of the economic collaboration and prospects for its advancement between the two countries, joint activities in the energy sector, the development of the cooperation and knowledge exchange in pharmaceuticals. The parties also exchanged views on the preparation for the first session of the Working Group on Economic Cooperation and Business Forum between Azerbaijan and Slovakia to be held in Baku.
