A discussion was held with the representatives of the "Airbus" company about the prospects of expanding cooperation, and the opportunities created for the activities of foreign companies in our country were brought to the attention.

Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with the executive vice-president and European president of "Airbus" Wouter Van Wersch.

Information was provided on the opportunities, business and investment environment created for the activities of foreign companies in our country, and the prospects for expanding cooperation were discussed at the meeting. The importance of the contract concluded between Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) CJSC and "Airbus" within the framework of the renewal of the aircraft fleet of our country was emphasized, and it was noted that the new planes that will be purchased in the framework of cooperation with "Airbus" will allow to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of our national air carrier, to ensure a high level of comfort for passengers.

 


 

Airbus was founded in 2000 by the merger of several European aerospace companies, including France's Aerospatiale-Matra, Germany's DaimlerChrysler Aerospace, and Spain's Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA. Airbus is one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world and has more than 150 aircraft models in its portfolio.
