Economy Minister answered questions from Atlantic Council Millennium Leadership Program’s Alumni
Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with the 2020 alumni of Atlantic Council Millennium Leadership Program. Mr. Jabbarov delivered information about the Azerbaijani economy, energy and transport-logistics projects of regional and global importance, of which our country is the initiator and active participant, including about the priorities of the socio-economic development of Azerbaijan until 2030, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the national economy, and the corresponding support measures by the Government of Azerbaijan. According to the Minister, a number of programs have been adopted aimed at the digital transformation of the country's economy along with the efforts made to develop the digital ecosystem. The meeting underlined that macroeconomic and political stability and a favorable business environment are the main factors that determine the investment attractiveness of Azerbaijan. However, steps are being taken to further improve the business environment. Mikayil Jabbarov spoke of new realities and additional opportunities for development brought by the historic Victory in the Patriotic War. Currently, restoration work is underway in our liberated territories.
