Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Jahit Bagchi.

Mr. Jabbarov emphasized the high level of strategic cooperation between the two countries, solid ties of friendship and partnership with fraternal Turkey, as well as Turkey's constant political and moral support to our country. The meeting also underlined that the signing by the heads of state on June 15, 2021 of the "Shusha Declaration on Allied Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey" opens up new opportunities for widening our cooperation.

Ambassador Jahit Bagchi noted the strategic alliance of his country with Azerbaijan, the active participation of Turkish companies in the revival of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, reiterating that Turkey has always stood by Azerbaijan.

The sides exchanged views on the areas of development of trade and economic partnership, cooperation in the restoration of our liberated territories, expansion of the scope of the Preferential Trade Agreement signed between the governments of Azerbaijan and Turkey, and other issues of common concern.
