The Republic of Azerbaijan was officially confirmed as a member of the Eurasian Spatial Data Infrastructure (ESDI) at an international conference held in Bishkek.

A delegation of the State Service on Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, headed by Deputy Head Huseyn Aliyev, participated in the 12th Conference of the Eurasian Spatial Data Infrastructure (ESDI) Steering Committee, held in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. The conference focused on digital transformation, geospatial data management, and the application of digital mapping technologies.

At the event held under the theme “National Spatial Data Infrastructures in the Context of Digital Transformation: Intelligent Geospatial Ecosystems and Digital Twins of Territories,” the Deputy Head of the State Service on Property Issues provided information on the Service’s activities, including state registration of real estate and the maintenance of the address registery, real estate cadastre, regulation of land relations, and Azerbaijan’s land resources, among other areas.
The event featured discussions on the experiences of member countries, the application of 3D mapping and satellite imagery in land management, as well as cross-border data exchange.
As part of the conference, Azerbaijan’s membership in the Eurasian Spatial Data Infrastructure (ESDI) was officially confirmed.
The event concluded with the identification of priority areas for future cooperation between the participating parties.
