Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has held a meeting with Nokerguly Atagulyev, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Co-Chairman of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation in the Economic and Humanitarian Fields between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the current state and development prospects of the economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan were assessed. The importance of the continued development of the economic partnership between our countries was highlighted. The potential for strengthening the trade and investment cooperation with Turkmenistan was noted. Additionally, the mutually beneficial cooperation across various fields, as well as opportunities to implement joint projects were underlined.

The parties discussed the strategic priorities of the bilateral cooperation, and the expansion of joint activities in energy, transport-transit, logistics and other areas.
