At the Ministry of Economy, investment cooperation issues have been discussed during the meeting with the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Silk Road Fund.

Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Si Xinbo, the Deputy CEO of the Silk Road Fund and a member of its Investment Committee.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and China have risen to the level of a strategic partnership. It was noted that the economic ties between the two countries continue to develop steadily. Information was provided on the reforms implemented to diversify Azerbaijan’s economy and the favorable investment environment created in the country. The importance of expanding cooperation in the non-oil and gas sector, technology transfer, sustainable development, and especially innovation was highlighted.

The parties exchanged views on initiatives to deepen economic partnership, including the establishment of a joint investment fund between the Azerbaijan Investment Holding and the Silk Road Fund. The implementation of investment projects in industry, energy, finance, and other priority sectors, as well as the expansion of financing mechanisms, was also reviewed.
