At the meeting dedicated to the development of the cotton industry in Azerbaijan, an exchange of views has been held regarding the challenges in this sector and ways to address them.

An online meeting on the topic of "Development of the Cotton Industry in Azerbaijan" has been held with the participation of Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov, CEO of the Azerbaijan Investment Holding Ruslan Alikhanov, as well as representatives of relevant state institutions and the private sector.

The meeting emphasized that cotton growing is a sector of particular importance for our country in terms of industrialization and increasing non-oil and gas exports. Discussions focused on increasing the economic efficiency of cotton growing, deepening the value chain in cotton production to promote employment in the regions. Opportunities were noted for establishing new production capacities, transitioning to the production of industrial products with high added value, improving existing infrastructure, and enhancing the operations of companies active in this field.

The existing challenges in the development of cotton growing and ways to solve them were discussed.
