Discussions on developing economic partnership with UAE held
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan with Amna Al Dahak, the Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries were explored.
Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov has held a meeting with the delegation led by Amna Al Dahak, the Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE are based on the strategic partnership. The parties expressed satisfaction with the development of the cooperation between the two countries across various fields, including economic-trade, energy, renewable energy, agriculture, food safety, transport, logistics, cultural, humanitarian and others.
The sides drew attention to the significance of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), signed to further simplify and liberalize the trade between the two countries, as well as to increase the turnover in the oil and gas sector, in developing the economic relations.
The favorable investment climate created in Azerbaijan was highlighted. The parties noted the role of the Joint Investment Fund, established with the participation of both countries, in implementing and financing the projects of mutual interest. Additionally, the sides touched upon the investments by the “Masdar” company in Azerbaijan’s renewable energy sector.
The joint projects aimed at driving sustainable economic growth, the application of efficient business solutions and the reduction of carbon emissions were also explored at the meeting. It was also underlined that B2B meetings between Azerbaijani and the UAE companies contribute to expanding the business ties and increasing mutual investment opportunities.
